Willunga Garden Village
"A Sense of Community"
Willunga Garden Village was founded in 1988. It consists of 20 residential properties (homes) that encircle a commonly owned hectare of land, or ‘common’. At the heart of the design of WGV is the intention to encourage social cohesion and community spirit.
The common facilities include a swimming pool, community building (known as “The Barn”), orchards, vegetable gardens, and recreational open-space.
The Village has many tangible, and some less tangible benefits which include:
A sense of community and belonging.
A clever village design/layout that allows for privacy in your own home (and garden) and the opportunity but not an obligation for regular interaction with fellow villagers.
Keeping a non-intrusive lookout for each other – adults and children alike.
A sense of security of person and of property – WGV is small enough that everyone here knows everyone else.
Comfortable walking distance to Willunga shops, schools, pubs, library, farmers market, bus, etc.
WGV is located in a quiet part of Willunga. No through traffic and minimal if any highway noise.
(If you are a prospective home buyer you can find out more about the responsibilities and obligations of WGV home owners here.)
